American influencer and professional wrestler Logan Paul our President Donald Trump he has “become a martyr” during an interview released on Thursday.
The interview, which aired on Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast, covered a range of topics including UFOs, President Joe Biden, warfare, and Trump’s relationship with billionaire Elon Musk. At the start of the conversation, Paul remarked that Trump had “become a martyr of sorts” following his conviction by a Manhattan jury in a case brought by Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
“You have these felony convictions, and quite a few of them, more than Al Capone, right? And despite this, people showed their support through donations,” Paul said. “Many people argue that this highlights the unjust nature of America’s justice system. My question is, if you and others believe this, why do you continue to devote your time and energy to a country or system that’s trying to bring you down?”
In response, Trump touted his own record while criticizing Biden’s, reiterating his desire to “make America great again.”
Later in the interview, Paul asked Trump about the existence of aliens. Trump said he does not personally believe in them, but acknowledged that reputable people he has spoken to do hold this belief.
“Am I a believer? No, I can’t say that I am,” Trump stated. “But I have met with serious people who claim they have seen strange things flying around out there.”
“Impaulsive” co-host Mike Majlak asked Trump if it was possible that information about aliens was being kept from him. Trump responded, “I guess so,” and suggested the existence of a “deep state.”
“I’ve talked to people who have had sightings, and it’s very believable,” Trump added. “Considering the vastness of the universe, why wouldn’t there be something or someone out there on a planet much larger than ours? It’s certainly believable to me.”
Paul admitted that this idea “freaks” him out.
Majlak then inquired if Trump was a fan of Musk, to which Trump replied that he thinks Musk is “a spectacular guy” and expressed amazement at his achievements in rocketry.
According to a May report by The Wall Street Journal, Musk is involved in a campaign to persuade influential business executives nationwide not to support Biden’s reelection effort. The two billionaires have reportedly discussed a potential position for the X CEO in a future Trump administration, though nothing is certain.
Paul also asked Trump about artificial intelligence (AI) and its risks in warfare. Trump highlighted the dangers, giving an example involving nuclear missiles.
“If you, as the president, announce that 13 missiles have been sent to a country and will hit in 12 minutes and 59 seconds, there’s no way for that country to verify if it’s really you,” Trump explained. He mentioned asking Musk if there was any way Russia or China could verify the authenticity. “He said there is no way,” Trump said. “They have to rely on a code, and in such a short time, who’s going to check? It’s extremely dangerous.”
Throughout the interview, Trump consistently criticized Biden, calling him “the worst president in the history of our country” and discussing their upcoming CNN debate.
